Monte da Peceguina Alentejo Regional Wine At the Malhadinha Nova estate, nothing is done by chance. The grapes, harvested from the Malhadinha, Peceguina and Terges vineyards, are carried by hand in 12‑kg baskets to the cellar, where they are received immediately. Under attentive human scrutiny, the grapes are first sorted in the vineyard, then pass through a selection table. After selection and sorting, they are destemmed and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures in stainless‑steel tanks.
