Monte Meão The Ferreirinha estates are probably the most emblematic in the Douro. Among them, Quinta do Vale Meão carries enormous symbolism, having been conceived from scratch, as the estate was purchased on virgin land. By its own merit, Quinta do Vale Meão is truly one of Portugal’s most interesting and coveted wines, earning deserved praise for the quality it delivers in every vintage. Vinification The grapes are crushed and destemmed. They ferment in a reused wooden vat, with controlled extraction over eight days. The wine ages in 225 L used barrels for twenty months.
