This Monte Velho Reserva seems to have sprung from the vine a touch early, thanks to that generous 2023 vintage. Esporão, ever watchful, clearly sought a concentrated result by blending grapes from across the Alentejo. A worthwhile barrel aging period then delivered a wine with the power to really shine alongside a hearty beef roast – perfect for ensuring the conversation stretches far beyond the bill.
