Description

The production of Moscatel, as a fortified wine, resembles that of Port wines, also yielding sweet wines in which alcoholic fermentation is halted by adding grape spirit. After a set period of pellicular maceration, the Moscatel wine is placed in barrels for ageing and refinement of its rich aromatic profile. These wines are produced from the various Moscatel grape varieties, internationally known for their aromatic richness and natural sugar concentration.
