This is a delightfully unconventional wine. Crafted from the historic Carapetos vineyard, this Alicante Bouschet proves that tradition doesn’t have to equal stagnation. It’s been treated with the classic, hands-on approach – foot treading and lagar fermentation – but with a deliciously rebellious twist, incorporating exotic wood chips. Three years in old barrels, followed by another two in bottle, have resulted in a wonderfully slow and captivating maturation. Expect a wine with plenty of body and complexity, absolutely perfect alongside grilled red meats and a generous wedge of blue cheese.
