This MR Heritage is a wine that’s clearly been through a bit of a rough and tumble. The deep ruby colour hints at a wonderfully complex nose – cedar, peaty notes, and even a whisper of iodine, undoubtedly thanks to the barrel fermentation. On the palate, it’s undeniably robust, with firm tannins that build with concentration, and a pronounced mineral acidity that suggests a slow-roasted game with blackberries. A wine for those who relish intensity and a finish that simply demands attention – absolutely brilliant with a hearty roast.
