This Muga SOLO is a remarkably reserved white, clearly nurtured by the clay soils of the Valle del Oja and the upper Najerilla valley. The winemaking, featuring consistent ‘bâtonnage’ – utilising fine-grained Nevers oak – suggests a wine that prefers to remain discreet. It boasts a remarkably persistent finish and a silky texture, brimming with complexity. A truly contemplative wine, perhaps best enjoyed with a grilled white fish – a quiet indulgence, indeed.
