This Murgas, grown on the chalky slopes of Bucelas, initially conjures a delightful little mirage of fresh raspberries and blackberries. The Touriga Franca’s influence, combined with the westward exposure, lends it a wonderful amplitude – a truly enveloping and structured mouthfeel, almost as if it’s playfully trying to compensate for its own seriousness. Seriously, it begs for a good black pork roast to balance all that expressiveness.
