Niepoort O Lagar de Baixo was vinified in a press and stainless‑steel tank, where it fermented for four weeks, finishing in used 2500‑liter barrels. Malolactic fermentation occurred in the same barrels, where it aged for 20 months. It was bottled without filtration.
