Description

Niepoort As uvas do Redoma Branco come from old vineyards located on the right bank of the Douro River, at elevations between 400 and 600 m. These plots are dominated by traditional varieties such as Rabigato, Códega do Larinho, Viosinho, Donzelinho and Gouveio. The mica‑rich soils give the wine a pronounced mineral character, paired with freshness and delicacy. **Vinification** After a meticulous selection at the sorting table, a gentle pressing and 24‑hour cold decantation were carried out. Alcoholic fermentation proceeded spontaneously in French oak barrels of 228 and 500 l, where the wine stayed for about six months. The combination of mica‑rich soils and the complexity of the Douro’s traditional varieties produces wines with a fresh, mineral, and elegant profile. **Food pairing** Ideal with oysters, baked fish, poultry and white meats, or with vegetarian dishes based on tubers (such as turnip, sweet potato or beetroot), Caesar salad, or cheese-based options.
