Charme is a rare wine produced by Niepoort in the Douro from a blend of grapes, dominated by Tinta Roriz and Touriga Franca, resulting in an elegant and complex red with soft, enveloping tannins. In the national wine landscape, no producer is more respected than Niepoort. The long history began in 1842 with the arrival of the first Van Der Niepoort in Portugal. Having entered the Port wine market as a trader, he quickly established a business that would prove prosperous and enduring. In the fifth generation, Dirk Niepoort was born, an influential figure in the wine world, recognized as one of the most important personalities working for Portuguese wine. He has collaborated with dozens of producers, helping them improve their wines and understand their vineyards, while also building his legacy alongside those who constantly create irreverent wines. Today, Dirk Niepoort collaborates on many other projects across almost all national wine regions and some foreign ones.
