Conciso Branco is a fresh and elegant wine that showcases the full potential of the old vineyards and the granite terroir of the Dão. The grapes come from Quinta da Lomba, where nearly century‑old plots are dominated by the Bical, Encruzado, and Malvasia varieties, among other indigenous grapes of the region. It displays a beautiful citrine hue and an aroma that balances barrel notes with citrus, orchard fruits, and subtle hints of aromatic herbs. On the palate it is structured and elegant, with a lingering acidity that keeps it lively, long‑lived, and refreshing. In the national wine panorama, there is no more universally respected producer than Niepoort. The company’s long history began in 1842 with the first Van der Niepoort to arrive in Portugal. Starting out in the Port wine market as a trader, he quickly established a prosperous and forward‑looking business. Thus, in the fifth generation, Dirk Niepoort was born, a prominent wine producer recognized as one of the most important figures working for Portuguese wine. He has collaborated with dozens of producers, helping them improve their wines and understand their vineyards, while also building his legacy alongside those who continually create innovative wines. Today, Dirk Niepoort collaborates on many other projects across almost all Portuguese wine regions and several abroad.
