Niepoort Redoma Branco

Description

The grapes for Redoma Branco come from old vines on the right bank of the Douro River, situated at altitudes ranging from 400 to 600 m. These vineyards are predominantly planted with Rabigato, Códega do Larinho, Viosinho, Donzelinho, and Gouveio. Their micaceous soils produce wines that are highly mineral, delicate, and exceptionally fresh. In the national wine landscape, no producer is more respected than Niepoort, whose long history began in 1842 when the first Van Der Niepoort arrived in Portugal. Upon entering the Port wine market as a merchant, he quickly established a business that proved prosperous and enduring. Thus, in the fifth generation, Dirk Niepoort emerged, an unstoppable producer in the wine world, recognized as one of the most important figures who has worked and continues to work for Portuguese wine. He has collaborated with dozens of producers, helping them improve their wines and understand their vineyards, while also building his legacy with those who always create irreverent wines.
