Description

Niepoort Tiara Branco is made from the grape varieties Códega do Larinho, Rabigato, Donzelinho Branco, and Cercial, sourced from vineyards that are over 60 years old and planted at an altitude of 600 meters. It presents a subtle nose with hints of citrus, orchard fruit, and a herbaceous note that adds depth. On the palate it impresses with its generosity, delivering volume and structure. The finish is almost spicy, persistent, and long‑lasting, sustained by excellent acidity. In the national wine landscape, there is no producer more widely respected than Niepoort. The long history began in 1842 with the arrival of the first Van der Niepoort in Portugal. He entered the Port wine market as a merchant, quickly establishing a business that would prove prosperous and enduring. In the fifth generation, Dirk Niepoort was born—a decisive figure in the wine world, recognized as one of the most influential personalities working for the advancement of Portuguese wine. He has collaborated with dozens of producers, helping them improve their wines and better understand their vineyards, while also shaping his own legacy alongside those who continually create bold, irreverent wines.
