Rocim is launching new projects not only in mainland Portugal but also in Madeira and the Azores. In celebration of this expansion, it introduces its first white wine from the Azores, made from the unique, native variety Arinto dos Açores. After fermentation in wooden barrels at a controlled temperature, the wine ages for about six months in fine lees to gain structure and creaminess. It presents a greenish hue with golden nuances, with notes of gunpowder, sea breeze and a touch of sulfur that characterise its terroir. With a good body, bright and noticeably saline, this white wine is a pleasant surprise.
