This “Odisseia Scylla” clearly had a rather eventful trip. Following a youthful stainless steel fermentation, it underwent malolactic conversion, likely aiming for a smoother profile. Eight months in French oak added a touch of elegance – perhaps a little *too* much, considering the grapes. Finally, a final 14 months in clay amphorae ensured that refreshing Douro character we expect. Seriously complex, this would pair beautifully with black pork.
