This Borges from the Douro is a bold statement, boasting a ruby colour that’s clearly soaked up plenty of sunshine. The Touriga Nacional lends a beautiful saffron note, playing alongside the exuberant Tinta Roriz, while the Aragonez adds a welcome burst of red berry fruit. It delivers a vibrant attack, with blackcurrant and raspberry flavours flooding the palate, followed by impressive structure and polished tannins – a style that certainly earned praise from Grandes Escolhas. Wonderful with grilled beef – a truly harmonious pairing.
