This original from Bairrada, crafted by Nuno Bastos, is undeniably impressive. The winemaking – featuring complete grape pressing and a delicate touch – truly showcases the potential of the Arinto grape, presenting it with remarkable concentration and grace. Maturation in French oak subtly enhances its flavours, pairing beautifully with its complex character. As noted by “Paixão pelo Vinho,” it earned a stunning 17.5 points in a blind tasting, and promises a decade or more of evolution. A fantastic match with baked fish or hearty stews, and complex enough to stand up to rich, creamy cheeses. That Gold Medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2021? Just the beginning, really.
