We give special emphasis to environmental and health concerns, so the vines are cultivated using sustainable practices and the production is certified by the “Integrated Production Standards”. Soil management focuses on erosion control and increasing organic matter, so we avoid soil disturbance and apply naturally sourced manure. **Soils:** clay‑calcareous **Vines:** Until 2019 the vines at Quinta do Porto Nogueira were grown under certified sustainable agricultural practices (Integrated Production Standards). Currently they are managed in a biological production system. **Grapes:** Sauvignon Blanc grapes were harvested from the “Vinha d’Almargem”, planted in 2012 on 1.2 ha, with northwest‑south‑east sun exposure. **Vinification:** A rigorous selection of bunches and clusters was carried out on 100 % of the grapes. Gentle pneumatic pressing was followed by fermentation at 15 °C in small‑capacity stainless‑steel tanks. Partial fermentation occurred in used French oak barrels, followed by bâtonnage for 120 days.
