Description

Página Branco is made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown in a 1.3-hectare vineyard within the Óbidos Denomination of Origin. Environmental and health considerations are given special emphasis in its production. The grapes come from vineyards certified under Integrated Production standards and make up a selected, concentrated blend. It has a lemon-yellow colour and aromas of tropical fruit with herbaceous notes reminiscent of green asparagus, combined with subtle hints of wood. Its freshness is pronounced, driven by the vibrancy of its structure, and it finishes long and persistent. Quinta do Porto Nogueira was founded in 1738, in the first half of the 18th century, and remained in the same family's possession until the second half of the 20th century. The current owners acquired it at the beginning of this century. The estate's 20 hectares of vineyards are planted in clay soils, shaped by the natural microclimate at the foot of the Serra de Todo-o-Mundo and by the proximity of the Atlantic Ocean, about 20 km away. This non-irrigated vineyard has unique characteristics, unmatched freshness and a natural salinity. As a result, its wines are distinguished by their singularity.
