Página tinto is produced from the Touriga Nacional grape, sourced from a 0.92‑hectare vineyard within the Óbidos DO. Production places special emphasis on environmental and health issues, with the grapes coming from vineyards certified under Integrated Production standards, forming a selected and concentrated batch. It presents with an intense ruby colour, bright appearance, elegant and defined aromas of small berries, vegetal balsamic notes, nuances of dark chocolate, and a slight toasting from oak maturation. On the palate it is balanced, with lively and present acidity, polished tannins that are very harmonious and well integrated. The finish is elegant, with intensity, freshness and good body. Quinta do Porto Nogueira was founded in 1738, in the first half of the 18th century, and remained in the same family’s ownership until the second half of the 20th century. The current owners acquired it in the early 21st century. The 20 hectares of vineyard on the estate are planted on clay soils, influenced by the natural microclimate at the foot of Serra de Todo‑o‑Mundo and the proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, about 20 km away. A dry‑farmed vineyard that gathers unique characteristics, unrivalled freshness, and natural salinity. Thus, the wines are marked by their singularity. (Illustrative image only).
