In 2011, Rui Reboredo Madeira returned to the same winery where he had his first harvest in 1987. Located in the small village of Vermiosa, in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, among Portugal’s highest vineyards, its Beira Interior wines are vinified and aged there. Thus the Beyra wine brand was born, marked by excellence and the pioneering concept of “High‑Altitude Wines.” In one of the most remote areas of the Iberian Peninsula, in the raian zone between the Upper Douro and Beira Alta, Rui Reboredo Madeira’s family‑born passion for the aromas and scents of the earth that shape his character took root. After years of experience and stays in other parts of the world, Rui brings back to his origins what he has learned, launching a personal wine‑making project always with maximum respect for nature.
