The red wine is crafted from the Touriga Nacional grape, sourced from a 0.92‑hectare vineyard in the Óbidos appellation. Its production places special emphasis on environmental and health considerations: the grapes come from vineyards certified under Integrated Production standards, making up a selected, concentrated batch. It displays an intense ruby color, a bright shine, and elegant, well‑defined aromas of small berries, with vegetal‑balsamic notes, hints of dark chocolate, and a slight toast from the aging wood. On the palate it is balanced, with lively, present acidity, polished tannins that are highly harmonious and well integrated. The finish is elegant, full of intensity, freshness, and good mouthfeel. Quinta do Porto Nogueira was founded in 1738, in the first half of the eighteenth century, and has remained in the same family’s ownership until the second half of the twentieth century. The current owners took possession at the beginning of the twenty‑first century. The estate’s 20 hectares of vineyards are planted on clay soils, shaped by the natural microclimate at the foot of Serra de Todo‑o‑Mundo and its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, about 20 km away. The vineyard grows without irrigation, offering unique characteristics, unrivalled freshness, and a natural salinity. Consequently, the wines are marked by their distinctiveness.
