The Casal de Vale Pradinhos is an agricultural enterprise spanning 450 ha, founded in 1913 and owned by the Pinto de Azevedo family ever since. The wines produced here combine indigenous varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela and Malvasia Fina with renowned international grapes including Cabernet Sauvignon, Gewürztraminer and Riesling. Maria Antónia Pinto de Azevedo Mascarenhas, great‑granddaughter of the founder Manoel Pinto de Azevedo, is the current owner of Casal de Vale Pradinhos. She has been steering the winery’s vision since taking control in 1994. Her daughter Maria will become the fourth generation of women directly involved in the estate’s management.
