Casal de Vale Pradinhos is an agricultural estate spanning 450 hectares, founded in 1913 and owned by the Pinto de Azevedo family ever since. The wines produced here blend indigenous varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, and Malvasia Fina with well‑known international grapes, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Gewürztraminer, and Riesling. Maria Antónia Pinto de Azevedo Mascarenhas, great‑granddaughter of the founder Manoel Pinto de Azevedo, is the current owner of Casal de Vale Pradinhos. She has been implementing her vision in the wines produced here since taking control of the estate in 1994. Her daughter Maria will be the fourth generation of women directly involved in managing the property. (illustrative image only)
