Paixar A Serra stands out as one of the purest and most vertical expressions of the high‑altitude Mencía grape in the D.O. Bierzo. This red wine originates from Dragonte, more precisely from the vineyard block “A Serra,” where vines defy gravity on 60 % slopes reaching 900 m above sea level. The extreme conditions of this environment and its decomposed slate soils give the grape a unique personality. After a delicate 12‑month maturation in 500‑liter French oak barrels, the wine is bottled unfiltered to preserve its intact essence. The result is a sophisticated terroir‑driven wine, deep and vibrantly delicate, captivating from the first sip.
