This Pata D’Urso, born from the oldest vines of Quinta da Furada in Ervedosa do Douro, demonstrates that sometimes a little haste can be a good thing. An early harvest, in mid-August, revealed grapes with such vibrancy and acidity that the renowned Niepoort had to pull out all the stops to capture their freshness. Following nearly two years in French oak barrels, the result is a true ode to these centenary vineyards – a remarkably fresh and elegant wine with a velvety touch, ideally paired with a nice grilled fish or a good cut of beef.
