Paulo Laureano is one of Portugal’s most respected winemakers and a benchmark for Alentejo wines. An agronomist and winemaker trained in Portugal, Australia and Spain, after teaching for ten years at the University of Évora he decided to devote himself exclusively to what drives him since 2003: creating wines—particularly in the family business he founded in 1999, which has increasingly taken up a central role in his life. Laureano describes himself as a minimalist winemaker. For him, designing wines is a passion: uncovering their aromas and flavours, evaluating and refining the factors that define their identity and personality, and promoting them as true sources of pleasure.
