Paulo Laureano is one of Portugal's most respected winemakers and a benchmark for Alentejo wines. Trained as an agronomist and winemaker in Portugal, Australia and Spain, after teaching at the University of Évora for ten years he decided to devote himself exclusively to what has driven him since 2003: crafting wines. Primarily in the family company he founded in 1999, which has grown in importance in his life. Paulo Laureano calls himself a minimalist winemaker. For him, creating wines is a passion – uncovering their aromas and flavours, assessing and refining the elements that give them identity and personality, and presenting them as genuine sources of pleasure.
