Paulo Laureano is one of Portugal’s most renowned winemakers and a benchmark for Alentejo wines. An agronomist and winemaker educated in Portugal, Australia and Spain, after teaching at the University of Évora for ten years, he decided to focus exclusively on what has driven him since 2003: crafting wines. Primarily within the company he founded with his family in 1999, which has grown in importance in his life, Paulo Laureano describes himself as a minimalist winemaker. For him, designing wines is a passion—unraveling their aromas and flavours, assessing and refining the elements of their identity and personality, and promoting them as true sources of pleasure—these are the key points of his philosophy.
