Produced from Arinto and Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown in vineyards with a strong Atlantic influence in the Lisbon region, this white wine is elegant, fresh, and fruity. The Sanguinhal Agricultural Company was founded in the 1920s by Abel Pereira da Fonseca in the Bombarral area. At that time, he owned the largest network of retail wine outlets in the country, and he used that position to establish a company devoted solely to the production and sale of wine. The company comprises three estates—Quinta do Sanguinhal, Quinta das Cerejeiras, and Quinta de São Francisco—situated in the Lisbon Wine Region, specifically the demarcated region of Óbidos. Here the properties benefit from a microclimate shaped by the Montejunto mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, giving the still, fortified, and spirit wines a fresh, balanced profile that reveals their unique character.
