Pêra‑Manca is the brand that Fundação Eugénio de Almeida dedicates to its exceptional wines. First launched in 1990, it is now one of the most respected and well‑known brands in the Alentejo wine region, winning an ever‑growing target audience. These wines are characterised by complexity, elegance and the potential for ageing, and they are appreciated worldwide. Bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is consistent with their age. The National Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, by default, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we inform you that wine is a living organism that is exposed to time, and even within a bottle, its aromas evolve in different ways. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate beforehand, which will help release its natural aromas after many years of closure.
