This Phaunus Amphora is a truly bold endeavour – carefully harvested Loureiro and Vinhão grapes, treated with a meticulousness befitting their name. The spontaneous fermentation, conducted within beeswax-lined earthenware amphorae, hints at a wonderfully complex character. Extended “sur lies” aging for three months has imparted a subtly textured body. Definitely a wine that will surprise, particularly paired with grilled white fish or seafood.
