This Dão Chardonnay is quite the persuasive little fellow – you really get the sense it’s highlighting the region’s fantastic terroir. It boasts a vibrant yellow hue and a nose brimming with crystallized fruit, underpinned by a lovely, buttery note hinting at time spent in oak. On the palate, it’s a burst of freshness, driven by a delightfully challenging acidity and a surprisingly full body. A truly worthy match for fresh seafood or a lavish bird dish, and – as the *Revista de Vinhos* rightly noted – a wine with serious staying power.
