The Pico Island Wine Cooperative was founded in 1949 when local growers came together to revive noble grape varieties and the stone-vineyard culture, now classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Over the years, more members have joined this cause, bringing the total to 250—men, women, and families who dedicate their lives to their passion and a centuries-old art. Today, with 70 years of history, it is the oldest wine producer in the Azores, continuing to respect and preserve viticultural traditions. This alliance underpins the quality of wines crafted from Azorean soils. (illustrative image only)
