This Verdelho, crafted with Alvarinho and Arinto grapes from Pinhal da Torre, clearly set out to be a distinct personality. The white stone fruit – particularly the apricot notes – take centre stage, yet it retains a sophisticated citrus influence from the tangerine peel. It’s a tense, full-bodied wine with a lively acidity, hinting at a fantastic ageing potential. Wonderful with grilled fish or game birds, really.
