This Poças is a real surprise – that gorgeous orange hue hints at a wonderfully complex maturation. Initially, you’re met with a vibrant nose of spices, a touch of smoke evoking those ancient vineyards, and, of course, the characteristic sweetness of Viosinho. On the palate, it's remarkably fresh and captivating, a testament to the quality of the harvest and careful barrel ageing. A well-deserved 93 points from James Suckling, this is a wine best enjoyed now, but one that will undoubtedly continue to evolve beautifully – perhaps paired with some aged cheeses or a rich paté.
