The Adega de Ponte de Lima was founded in 1959 in the town of Ponte de Lima, the oldest settlement in Portugal. With about 2,000 associated growers, it is one of the largest cooperatives in the Vinho Verde region, which, together with its families and workers, represents the most significant economic and social structure in the municipality. The wines of Adega de Ponte de Lima come from the vinification of perfectly ripe grapes of regional varieties sourced from its members’ vineyards, guaranteeing the authenticity and character of genuine Vinho Verde. In the white wines, Loureiro shows a special expression thanks to its magnificent adaptation to the Ribeira Lima terroir, yielding a wine highly praised for its aroma and excellent organoleptic qualities. In the reds, Vinhão stands out, producing exceptional single‑varietal wines; it is recognised by its unmistakable aroma of red and wild fruits and its refined palate.
