This Pôpa TR is clearly a wine born of a seriously devoted Alentejo. The hand-harvested grapes and meticulous selection point to a genuine connection with the land – you can almost hear the footsteps in the traditional, foot-tread lagar. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in used oak barrels for eight months, it’s shaping up to be a remarkably smooth and evolving wine. Expect a medium-bodied red with vibrant red fruit aromas and earthy undertones; ideal for pairing with a perfectly grilled steak or a succulent roasted duck.
