This Portal da Calçada Cuvée Prestige from Vinho Verde is a delightful surprise – a remarkably light effervescence, almost as if the bubbles are engaging in a little chat, with ripe peach notes dancing through. The characteristic acidity of the region is beautifully balanced by a subtle brioche influence, no doubt picked up from the surrounding oak trees.
