It presents with a clear appearance and a deep old‑gold colour. Its aroma is intense and complex, dominated by notes of honey, wax, hazelnut, orange peel, orange blossom and tilia, with earthy and toasted nuances from the barrel. On the palate it is very rich, with a velvety mouthfeel and substantial gustatory volume, yet balanced by a moderate acidity that imparts freshness and ageing potential.
