Quinta Alta O Qalt Tinta Barroca blends art with wine. The wine is the art inside the bottle and the art outside it. A label must speak, so we offered a bold reinterpretation of the walls surrounding our estate in Ervedosa do Douro. We invited Brazilian street artist Kaur Art to reimagine the century‑old schist walls of the Douro in his artistic style. The result is this. All the colours echo the hues of Tinta Barroca at different stages of the wine, a collaboration with designer Helena Lobo and Kaur Art. Vinification: Manual harvest on 23 September 2022, performed in 20 kg crates. Manual selection at the sorting table. Thirty per cent fermented with whole bunches. Racking with aeration. Fermentation at controlled temperature. Six months of ageing in stainless‑steel tanks. Bottled on 22 May 2023. Launch in May 2024. Food pairing: Harmonises with light shellfish, fish, and chicken dishes, as well as vegetarian fare. A wine for aperitifs and to shine at the table, easy to drink and satisfying even the most discerning palates. Allergen information: Contains sulfites. SKU: 107397
