Description

Quinta Alta Blend, sourced from high‑altitude vineyards (450‑650 m), composed of native Douro varieties. A DOC – Douro from the Baixo Corgo sub‑region, elegant, expressive and balanced with good body. Fresh citrus notes of lime, grapefruit, white fruit, and a pleasant minerality. On the palate, it is serious, with exuberant acidity. Vinification: 80 % Gouveio Real and 20 % Viosinho, hand‑picked on 30‑31 August 2022 in 20‑kg crates, manually selected at the choice table, gentle direct pressing, slow fermentation at 14 °C. Food pairing: Versatile, pairing well with gravlax salmon, oven‑baked dishes such as traditional roasted cod, stews, or even white meats. Enologists: Francisco Montenegro and Fernanda Zuccaro. Maturation: Maceration and fermentation in new 550‑L French oak barrels, weekly bâtonnage for 12 months, 12 months barrel ageing and 6 months in stainless‑steel tank. Analyses: Total acidity 5.5 % g/L, pH 3.38.
