The Zuccaro red wine is made from a vineyard where 16 different grape varieties can be identified and it aged for 30 months in new French oak barrels with a medium toast. It presents a red colour with purple undertones and, on the nose, reveals aromas of ripe fruit such as plum, along with well-integrated spices. In the mouth the tannins are round and expressive, finishing with a floral touch. The Quinta Alta project was born in 2000, when a Brazilian couple, Fernanda Zuccaro and Chico Santa Rita, fell in love with the Douro and decided to bring an old dream to life. Located in the parish of Ervedosa, it now covers 7 hectares, mostly planted with vines.
