The bottles of old wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is expected given their age. The National Cellar is obliged to store all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that normally reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we inform that wine is a living organism that, when exposed to time, even inside a bottle, its aromas are subject to different evolutions. Thus, the National Cellary cannot be held responsible for the product's quality, given that it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate first, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, make sure to do it patiently to detect the appearance of sediment that, as a rule, an old wine tends to develop.
