This Ribatejo Sauvignon Blanc from Quinta da Alorna is the result of a wonderfully discerning harvest – those Portuguese grapes, as you’d expect, were meticulously hand-picked. The wine bursts with tropical notes of pineapple and grapefruit, underpinned by a lovely mineral complexity. Ten percent of American oak adds a welcome layer of nuance, and it’s certainly a wine deserving of high praise; ideally paired with a grilled fish and a squeeze of lemon.
