This Encruzado from Quinta da Bacalhôa, born from the granite slopes of the Serra da Estrela, is a wonderfully bold statement. Vinified in separate lots, it retains the distinctive character of each vineyard – a truly neighbourly approach! The result is a surprisingly mineral wine, with a freshness that evokes the mountain breeze. The three-month ageing in French oak barrels, combined with battonage, adds an intriguing layer of complexity – ideally paired with freshly grilled fish.
