This Arinto, sprung from the vines of Quinta da Biaia – a place steeped in history thanks to Dona Beatriz de Sousa Lopes – delivers a frankly tropical assault: think ripe pineapple, kiwi, and papaya swirling on the palate, as if a little slice of heaven has been brought to Castelo Rodrigo. The subtle influence of French oak aging adds a touch of woodiness, but it’s restrained, and the acidity is remarkably zesty. It’s a wine of undeniable elegance, and I'd happily pair it with some grilled fish or seafood.
