This Douro Tawny from Vinhas Velhas is a delightful journey for the palate, brimming with notes of dried fruits and a pure vanilla essence. Roy Hersh gave it a solid 92 points, and it certainly lives up to the promise – wonderfully smooth, remarkably persistent, and leaving a truly satisfying finish. Seriously, it pairs beautifully with a good sheep’s cheese, or perhaps some grilled trout.
