Quinta da Folgosa Velha red wine is produced from Dourado grapes in stainless‑steel tanks with controlled temperature. After partial aging, it spends about 12 months in French oak barrels, yielding a wine with excellent color concentration, well‑present and silky tannins. Fruity aromas combine perfectly with spicy notes, giving the wine a balanced structure suitable for everyday meals. The Sociedade Agrícola Quinta da Folgosa Velha is a family‑run company belonging to the Figueiredo family. Their estate covers around 16 hectares in Folgosa do Douro and produces Dourado wine from its own vineyards, some of which are old vines around 45 years old. The wines are made from carefully selected grapes and fermented in granite vats, preserving the traditional profile of Douro wines.
