This Touriga Nacional from Boas Quintas has clearly been put through the paces – a lengthy fermentation and maceration, followed by a serious stint in Allier oak. The 12 months in French oak seem to have aimed to temper the inherent intensity of the grape. The result is a wine of excellent quality, though it’s perhaps best enjoyed with a hearty roasted meat, like rabbit, wouldn’t you agree?
